Ribble Statement on The Farm Bill
Washington, DC –Representative Reid Ribble (WI-08), a member of the House Agriculture Committee, released the following statement on H.R. 1947, The Federal Agricultural Reform and Risk Management (FARRM) Act, which failed to pass the House today by a vote of 195-234.
“I was disappointed that the House failed to pass the Farm Bill. It had many provisions that would have streamlined and improved our nation’s agriculture policy, as well as helped many hardowrking Wisconsin farmers. While far from perfect, this measure would have been a step in the right direction. The Farm Bill has a vast impact, not only on Wisconsin, but the entire country, and Congress owes it to the American people to get the job done.”
