Ribble Statement on Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge

Sep 25, 2013 Issues: Transportation

Washington, D.C. - Earlier today, Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials noticed a large dip in the pavement of the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge in Green Bay, resulting in the bridge being closed pending further investigation.

Below is a statement from Congressman Ribble on the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge:

“I have been in contact with my colleagues at the state and local level about the status of the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge, and I am grateful for their swift attention to this issue.  While inspections are underway at the state level, I will work at the federal level with the U.S. Department of Transportation in any way necessary.  The bridge is a vital corridor for the Green Bay area, and ensuring that Interstate Highway 43 and the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge are safe for travel is of the utmost importance to our community.”
